Acting

Kaitlyn decided she wanted to be an actress when she was 9 (you can check her childhood diary for reference). She started on the stage but has since focused on film and television. Kaitlyn plays the lead female in "The Grounders" series and has starred in 15+ shorts and indie feature films in lead and supporting roles. She's also been in numerous commercials for large clients, such as Lenovo and Busch Gardens.

Kaitlyn has a minor in Theatre Performance from the University of Delaware and recently completed the Meisner technique curriculum at Playhouse West Philadelphia under Tony Savant after 3 years of training.

Filmmaking

Most recently, Kaitlyn co-wrote, co-produced, and co-starred in a short film with her sister, Jackie Diehl, titled “Willow,” which has been accepted into seven film festivals to date, including the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival. “Willow” will continue traveling the festival circuit for the rest of 2024. Kaitlyn is also an Executive Producer for two films currently in pre-production: “TINO” and "Stand Up." She just completed her directorial debut for another short film, "The Long Road," which is currently in post-production.

Kaitlyn is also a mezzo-soprano vocalist and musician; she currently studies and teaches voice and Alexander Technique under Emily Tepe of IVA Voice Studios, and she plays 5 instruments (piano, oboe, guitar, banjo, and ukulele).

In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys her cat, snowboarding, tacos, traveling, practicing Spanish and French, impersonating Disney princesses at birthday parties, and dabbling in songwriting.
